“An Abundance of Joy” began on October 8, 2023. On five Sundays, talks were given by the ministry groups: “Joy in Community”, “Joy in Serving”, “Joy in Believing”, “joy in Hopefulness” and “Joy in Giving”. The final celebration was held on Sunday, November 12, with our response to giving in 2024.

2023 Stewardship

“Remember that saying, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” Or “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” As I was looking back at this past year, I thought of this… We continue to work at the same mission, do the same services that we have for years, because people still get hungry, people still get cold, people still get homeless, people still get hurt, people still get stranded by the weather. And so… we continue to feed people, collect clothing for people, cover people with quilts and blankets, support the organizations which care for people who are homeless and those who struggle because of severe weather conditions and famines and warfare throughout the world, and so much more. For all the years I’ve been here, the people of Christ the Servant have tried to live the name of our church, using “Christ, the Servant” as an example… to be the servants of Christ the Servant.”
